Ownership in Focus as Court Hears Arguments in Insurance Privatisation Case

Ljubljana, 25 September - Arguments for and against the insurance companies privatisation act were heard Wednesday, as the Constitutional Court held a session to examine the act. Having heard the arguments from the two sides, the court is now expected to rule at one of its future sessions. Today's hearing reaffirmed that ownership is at the root of dispute over this act, passed by parliament on May 7 in an effort to conclude the privatisation of insurance companies that still have public capital eleven years after transforming into joint-stock companies.
