FM Rupel Discusses Slovenia's Bid to Join EU in Finland
Helsinki, 25 September - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel wrapped up an official visit to Finland on Wednesday, during which he held talks with top Finnish officials, focussing on Slovenia's bid to join the European Union. During a meeting with his Finnish counterpart Erkki Tuomioja, Rupel presented Slovenia's stance on the financial phase of negotiations between the applicant countries and the EU member states, saying that Slovenia expects it would not be financially worse off after it becomes a member.
