PM Drnovsek Travels to Ireland to Promote Nice Treaty

Dublin, 26 September - Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is scheduled to begin a two-day working visit to Ireland on Thursday by officially opening the new Slovenian embassy in the country. On Friday, he is to hold separate meetings with his host and counterpart Berti Ahern and Foreign Minister Brian Cowen to discuss European issues, especially the renewed Irish referendum on the Nice Treaty, which has been rejected the first time around.
