Novartis to Offer Tolars for Lek As Well
Ljubljana, 26 September - Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis has announced that it would offer to pay for Slovenian drug-maker Lek in Slovenian tolars as well as euros. The Novartis announcement comes after the Slovenian Securities Market Agency said that Novartis would have to supplement its takeover intent by offering to pay domestic currency to Lek shareholders. Meanwhile, talks continue on Thursday between Novartis and Lek's two single-largest shareholders.
