Malta and Slovenia Hope for Favourable Outcome of EU Financial Talks, Says Potocnik
Valletta, 26 September - Slovenia and Malta expect that solutions will be found by the end of the EU accession negotiations that would not put the more advanced candidates into a worse financial situation both in relation to EU members and in relation to the other candidates. "We also trust that the European Commission will keep its promise that no newcomer should be in a worse financial situation with the day of the EU accession than it was before EU membership," Slovenia's Europe Minister Janez Potocnik, who is visiting Malta, told STA on Thursday.
