Lek Takeover: D Day on Friday
Ljubljana, 27 September - Changes to the Lek company statute must be backed by 75 percent of the capital present at Friday's assembly in order to allow for a possible takeover of the Ljubljana pharmaceutical. If the two largest single shareholders KAD and SOD fail to reach an agreement with the potential bidder Novartis, the changes have no chance of being adopted and give way to Novartis's takeover of Lek as the Pension Fund Management (KAD) and the Restitution Fund (SOD) together hold almost 26 percent of Lek stock.
