Lek Takeover: Shareholders Close the Door on Novartis
Ljubljana, 27 September - Shareholders of Slovenian drug-maker Lek have not given the go-ahead for changes to the company's statute that would allow Swiss pharmaceutical company Novartis to acquire the Ljubljana-based company. Convening for a general assembly on Friday morning, only 42.3 percent of the capital present voted in favour of the changes, while 75 percent was needed.
