U.S. Congress Subcommittee Supports NATO Enlargement, Names Seven Candidates
New York, 27 September - The Subcommittee on Europe in the Committe on International Affairs at the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously adopted the proposal of the resolution in support of further enlargement of NATO on Thursday. The resolution lists for the first time seven candidates for membership which in the opinion of the subcommittee should receive the official invitation to the Alliance at its November summit in Prague.
