Irish Gov't Would Do All for Successful Referendum, Says Ahern
Dublin, 27 September - The Irish government will do everything to make the second referendum on the Nice Treaty ratification on 19 October a success, Irish PM Bertie Ahern told his Slovenian counterpart Janez Drnovsek during the latter's visit to Dublin on Friday. Drnovsek was also hopeful that the Irish voters would understand how important their decision is for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe which have been waiting for another EU enlargement for a long time.
