Lek General Assembly Dominates Headlines in Slovenian Dailies

Ljubljana, 28 September - The Slovenian press takes a look at Friday's general assembly of Slovenian drug-maker Lek, at which shareholders of the Ljubljana-based company rejected proposed changes to the statute that were demanded by Swiss pharmaceutical group Novartis as a prerequisite for a takeover. Saturday's editions of both Delo and Dnevnik point to the role of two state funds, the largest shareholders of Lek, wondering whether their rejection of the proposed statutory changes and the price offered by Novartis will be regretted later.
