Slovenia Still a Net Payer to the EU Budget According to Danish Calculations
Brussels, 30 September - Slovenia is still set to become a net payer to the EU budget following its accession to the Union in 2004, according to the latest estimates carried out by the Danish EU presidency. This will happen if the European Commission proposal is not accepted, according to which, by way of receiving lump sum payments, none of the new EU members should find itself in a worse financial position than the year prior to its accession.
