Public Debate Focuses on MP Immunity from Civil Action
Ljubljana, 30 September - In a series of public debates held in parliament on the changes to the Slovenian Constitution, a discussion was held on Monday whether MPs should be granted immunity from civil action for the statements they make during parliamentary discussions. After the debate, which saw poor attendance, Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor announced that he is to hold talks with heads of the deputy groups in coming days to find out what opinion prevails among MPs on the matter.
