PM Drnovsek to Become Official Presidential Candidate by the End of Next Week

Ljubljana, 1 October - The council of Liberal Democrats (LDS) will name its president, PM Janez Drnovsek, as the party's presidential candidate at the beginning of next week, the council's chair Gregor Golobic told the press on Tuesday. "It is obvious that the political situation in Slovenia is stable enough and that there are no major open or burning issues in other fields," Golobic explained Drnovsek's final decision to run for president of the republic.
