Opposition Parties Critical, Social Partners Want to Discuss 2003/2004 Budgets
Ljubljana, 2 October - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) responded to Tuesday's adoption of an amended budget for 2003 and a fresh 2004 budget bill, pointing out that social partners were excluded from budget talks. The trade unions were not the only ones critical of the government's budget efforts, as most of the opposition parties expressed their criticism over the budgets for the next two years. Meanwhile, the coalition United List (ZLSD) labelled the financial plan for the next two years a "smart compromise".
