Delo on Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Ljubljana, 3 October - Yasser Arafat was the only one who celebrated the second anniversary of the Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation with a V sign, but the smile on his face has faded away. He may have proved to the world that he is the only "democratically elected leader of the Palestinian people", but this people knows perfectly well that the only true authority of the Palestinians on the occupied territories is Israeli PM Ariel Sharon - or any other prime minister that is to succeed him, observes a Slovenian leading daily in its Thursday edition.
