Report: Drug Abuse Increasing in EU Candidates, Including Slovenia
Brussels, 3 October - Some EU candidate countries - including Slovenia - appear to be turning from countries that used to be transit territories for drug smugglers into destination countries. This is the fundamental finding of the first annual report issued on Thursday by the European Monitoring Centre for the Control of Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) on the drug situation in the EU candidate countries.
