Upcoming Greek Presidency Sets Working Date for Signing Accession Treaties
Brussels, 4 October - The anticipated date for signing the accession treaties with the new EU members is 16 April, 2003, the Greek mission in Brussels told STA on Friday. However, the date is not final yet and will be confirmed at the end of this year when it will become clear whether the enlargement is going according to set deadlines. At that time the Greece presidency, which is to succeed Denmark, will also publish its exact programme and schedule for the first six months of 2003.
