Budget Economizing Urgent in Uncertain Economic Situation, Central Bank Governor Says
Ljubljana, 4 October - Global uncertainty is so great that it is counterproductive to be overly optimistic in drafting budgets. It would be hard to say whether the corrections of the 2003 and 2004 budget bills were sufficient, but I think that Slovenia will next year see the economic growth somewhere between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecast and the government's assessment, i.e. between 3.2 and 3.7 percent, Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari told Friday's Delo.
