Trade Deficit Jumps to EUR 43.9m in August

Ljubljana, 7 October - Slovenia's exports in August amounted to EUR 722.6m, while imports totalled EUR 766.5m. This resulted in a deficit of EUR 43.9m, which was less than in August 2001, when it stood at EUR 69.7m, and much more than in July 2002, when the trade deficit amounted to mere EUR 7.2m, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistical Office.
