Problem of Wine Zones in Accession Talks Echoes in Vecer

Maribor, 9 October - The idyllic image of Slovenia as a wine-growing country with a hundred-year-long tradition will obviously be tarnished by the accession to the EU, although not all has been lost as some doors still remain ajar, the daily Vecer on Wednesday responds to the agriculture minister's news conference Tuesday, when he said that common EU negotiating positions on wine-growing regions are extremely unfavourable for Slovenia, i.e. for its north- and southeastern parts.
