Foreign Inmates in Slovenian Prison on Hunger Strike
Dob, 9 October - Some 20 foreign inmates at the Dob prison in SE Slovenia are on the ninth day of a hunger strike they initiated in search of more rights. The strike started after the demands by the prisoners addressed to the Justice Ministry - including parole releases after half of the prison term - were not fulfilled, the Slovenian public Radio Slovenija station reported Wednesday. The authorities say the strike is unjustified.
