Slovenian Dailies Examine PM's Decision to Run for President

Maribor/Ljubljana, 10 October - Two Slovenian dailies on Thursday comment on the final decision of Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek to run for president at the upcoming elections. According to Vecer and Delo, Drnovsek is a favourite to become the next Slovenian president and his announcement most probably ruined the day for most of the other candidates. While Delo dares to forecast that Drnovsek will be the next president, Vecer wonders whether the race will be over in the first round.
