As Neutrality is Not an Option, Slovenia Should Join NATO, Says Kreft
Ljubljana, 10 October - Slovenia should join NATO if we receive an invitation, presidential candidate Lev Kreft told the press Thursday, explaining that after September 11, neutrality is no longer an option. However, following announcements of an attack on Iraq, the referendum on NATO membership will take place in difficult conditions, said the candidate of the coalition United List (ZLSD), who opposes the participation of Slovenian soldiers in military operations abroad.
