Progress Report: Slovenian Farmers Skeptical
Ljubljana, 11 October - Contrary to the overwhelmingly positive feedback to the 2002 report on Slovenia's progress towards accession, Slovenian farmers have expressed some second thoughts. The Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry (KGZS) thus feels that too much enthusiasm could mislead Slovenian negotiators in the crucial phase of accession negotiations, while the farmers' trade union doubts that Slovenian agriculture will be able to catch up with Europe.
