First Signs of Recovery on LJSE

Ljubljana, 12 October - Fear that Novartis's bid for the takeover of drug maker Lek might fail marked yet another bearish week on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE). This, plus news suggesting that major Lek owners might refuse to sell, pushed the benchmark SBI 20 index down 70.86 points (2.25 percent) on the week to close at 3,145.59 points. Nevertheless, optimism seems to have returned on Friday, when the benchmark gained almost one percent.
