Lek CEO Says Failed Takeover Would Be No Disaster

Ljubljana, 12 October - If the takeover bid of Swiss Novartis for the Slovenian drug maker Lek should fail, it would be no disaster for the company, Lek CEO Metod Dragonja told Saturday's edition of Delo. "We would just have to implement the strategy of independent growth for a while. YOu don't enter these kinds of projects every day," he told the daily, adding that it would take at least two years before Lek would start taking similar steps if the deal with Novartis falls through.
