National MAP Implementation Programme Focuses on Armed Forces Professionalization
Ljubljana, 13 October - In September, Slovenia became the first NATO applicant country to hand to the Alliance its annual programme on the implementation of the Membership Action Plan (MAP) for the period 2002-2003. This is the country's fourth programme to date and this time around focuses on plans for a speedy professionalization of the Slovenian Armed Forces and the abolishment of the compulsory military service.
