Minority Member in Italy Faces Trial for Excavating Sensitive Site
Trieste, 15 October - A member of a Slovenian minority organisation in Italy, who was charged by Italian authorities for digging near a national monument, is to go on trial at a Trieste court on Wednesday. Primoz Sancin claims that he decided to dig up a shaft where Italian victims of post-WWII summary executions are said to be buried because authorities refused to investigate what had actually happened there.
