Minority Languages in Austria on the Decrease

Klagenfurt, 17 October - In Austria, Slovenian is spoken by 24,855 people, 17,953 of which are Austrian citizens. Generally speaking, the use of Slovenian, Croatian and Hungarian as languages spoken by the recognised ethnic groups in the Austrian regions of Carinthia and Burgenland has been on the decrease over the last decade.
