Presidential Candidates Examine the Field on TV Confrontation
Ljubljana, 18 October - The nine official candidates running for president at elections set for 10 November focused their introductory head to head debate broadcast on the commercial POP TV on current domestic and international issues and explained their reasons for running. According to the telephone poll that took place during the Thursday evening debate, PM Janez Drnovsek seems to have been the most persuasive as he was the favourite pick of 35 percent of the callers. He was closely followed by Former Justice Minister Barbara Brezigar with 30 percent of the callers' support.
