EU Candidates Want Equal Treatment in the Enlarged EU, Rupel Says
Prague, 22 October - Ten EU candidate countries that are to wrap up accession negotiations by the end of the year and become members in 2004 expect that an agreement would be reached at the upcoming EU summit in Brussels about the financing of enlargement. They also refuse to accept a second-rate status as newcomers in the EU, STA was told by Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who is attending Tuesday's conference of foreign ministers of the ten candidates in Prague.
