Slovenia Marks World UN Day in Messenger of Peace

Slovenj Gradec, 23 October - The world organisation is seen by many people around the world as a symbol of peace and peaceful coexistence between individuals, nations and countries; these are not empty words for all who have ever been witness to war and its devastation, Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek told Wednesday the central celebration marking World UN Day. The event took place in Slovenj Gradec, northern Slovenia, which bears the name of a "UN Messenger of Peace".
