Two Slovenian Dailies Ponder on EU Enlargement

Ljubljana/Maribor, 24 October - As the EU summit kicks off in Brussels on Thursday, EU enlargement has been the food for Slovenian press this morning. While the daily Delo regrets that EU candidates had not negotiated with the EU in a block in order to have a better position, the Maribor-based Vecer suggests that the EU member states will be reluctant to give up their financial privileges to the benefit of newcomers.
