Peace Activists Protest Against Koper Turning into Military Port

Ljubljana, 24 October - A Slovenian group of peace activists appealed on Thursday against foreign war ships anchoring in the Slovenian Adriatic port of Koper, as this would mean turing Koper into a military port. The association called on Slovenian authorities to refuse NATO ships to anchor in the port. The appeal comes a day after four ships from the rapid reaction forces of the NATO South Command reached the port and are to remain there until Saturday.
