Slovenian Should Become Functional Language in Carinthia
Ljubljana, 24 October - It is important that Slovenian goes from being a "folk custom" to becoming a useful language, which opens new horizons to the speaker, Marjan Sturm of the Union of Slovenian Organisations (ZSO) said in Thursday's lecture on Slovenians in the Austrian province of Carinthia after Slovenia's EU accession. He was optimistic about the preservation of the Slovenian language, which will become one of the official languages of the EU.
