Over 4,500 Dead Birds Seized by Slovenian Customs Officers
Ljubljana, 25 October - More than 4,500 dead birds or a total of 182 kilos were seized by Slovenian customs officers on four occasions at a Slovenian-Croatian border crossing in the period from 11 September to 23 October. With the birds most likely being poached in Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina, the smugglers were heading for Italy, the customs office told a news conference Friday.
