National Alliance Wants to Count Slovenians in Gorizia

Trieste, 25 October - The Italian right-wing National Alliance party has announced that members of the Slovenian minority living in the Gorizia municipality on the border with Slovenia would be counted, Trieste-based daily Il Piccolo writes on Friday. According to the paper, the purpose of the count is to prove that the 2001 act on the protection of the Slovenian minority is unnecessary.
