Eurostat Head Receives Slovenian Golden Medal of Freedom

Ljubljana, 25 October - Slovenian President Milan Kucan conferred the Honorary Medal of Freedom on director of the EU's statistical office Eurostat Yves Franchet, who invited the Slovenian statistical office to co-operate with Eurostat as early as 1992, soon after Slovenia's independence, Kucan's office said.
