Candidates Generally Pleased with Brussels Summit
Copenhagen, 28 October - "The Brussels summit has brought about the certainty that accession negotiations will actually wrap up in December in Copenhagen, as the main frameworks and deadlines have been set and nothing surprising can happen anymore," said Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek after Monday's "mini-summit" in Copenhagen. The meeting saw heads of ten EU candidates that are to join the EU in 2004, the Danish EU presidency and the European Commission discussing conclusions of the recent EU summit in Brussels.
