First Draft of the Future European Constitution Stirs the Convention
Brussels, 29 October - First draft of the future European Constitution is a good basis for discussion, but should in no way represent final solutions and directions as it contains many controversial or even outright unacceptable ideas and thus still needs to be worked upon, said members of the Convention on the future of the EU on Tuesday. This was the first debate on the European Constitution "skeleton" proposal presented to them by the President of the Convention Valery Giscard d'Estaing on Monday.
