Dob Inmates Threaten to Go on Strike

Ljubljana, 30 October - The Slovenian Prison Administration on Wednesday rejected as unfounded demands by a group of 140 prisoners of Slovenia's largest prison, Dob. The prisoners have called for general amnesty, an automatic reduction of sentences and additional benefits. The Prison Administration said their demands were unrealistic and urged them not to start a hunger strike announced for 4 November if their demands are not met.
