FM Rupel Asks EU for Funds to Set up Schengen Border
Brussels, 7 November - Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel pointed out that the establishment of the Schengen border regime at the Slovenian border with Croatia represents a considerable financial burden, as he met with European Foreign Relations Commissioner Chris Patten on Thursday. He also voiced the expectation that the EU would provide considerable financial assistance for the project.
