Presidential Elections - A Run-Off Expected

Ljubljana, 7 November - The 10 November elections will be the third presidential elections since Slovenia gained independence in 1991. What separates them from the 1992 and 1997 elections is foremost the absence of incumbent President Milan Kucan. Thus, no matter who wins this time, Slovenia will get only the second president in over a decade of independence.
