FIDE President Wants Chess at the Olympics
Bled, 8 November - "I'm pleased that the delegates at the 73rd Congress backed my seven-year work at the head of the World Chess Federation (FIDE)," the re-elected FIDE president Kirsan Ilyumzhinov told the press on Friday. The new old chairman will work for greater popularity of chess, financial success and the inclusion of chess into the Olympic programme. Another priority is to unite the titles of world champion in chess.
