Lek Shareholders to Remove Voting Rights Barrier on Tuesday

Ljubljana, 11 November - Owners of the Slovenian pharmaceutical company Lek are to decide on the changes to the company statute to abolish the 15-percent limit on voting rights at Tuesday's assembly. Lek is currently in the process of being acquired by Swiss pharma company Novartis in a raised offer of SIT 105,000 (EUR 458.08) per share, so the amended statute would remove the final obstacle in Novartis's takeover bid.
