Maribor, 12 November - Farmers are trembling once again after the Slovenian Veterinary Administration (VURS) has decided to ban the milk from 16 collection routes (out of 171) where samples showed a presence of the antibiotic Chloramphenicol. The antibiotic helps milk to conserve longer, limiting the presence of microorganisms in it, so it can be sold as high-quality milk at accordingly elevated prices, says Tuesday's edition of the daily Vecer.
