EU Downgrades Slovenia's GDP Growth Outlook
Brussels, 13 November - An increase in domestic and foreign demand should push Slovenia's GDP growth to 3.6 percent in 2003, up from 2.6 percent this year, the European Commission said Wednesday in its autumn economic outlook for the EU candidate countries. Both figures have thus been downgraded since spring, when the Commission anticipated 2002 GDP growth at 3.1 percent and the 2003 figure at four percent.
