Local Elections Bring Little Shift in Power for Parliamentary Parties
Ljubljana, 20 November - Eight parliamentary parties have more or less maintained the level of support gained at the 2000 general elections, shows the data on the recent local elections that was released by the National Electoral Commission (NEC). Almost one fifth of the votes went this time to non-parliamentary parties and several non-party lists. Local elections were held in all 193 municipalities in Slovenia on 10 November.
