Slovenia's Inflation Remains a Problem, Assesses European Commission
Brussels, 21 November - The Slovenian pre-accession economic programme (PEP) is a valid macroeconomic frame for the period between 2001 and 2005, wrote the European Commission in its assessment of the document drafted by Slovenia in August. However, despite a generally positive assessment, the Commission believed that the country's plan to lower inflation is not ambitious enough and that the monetary policy is not firmly set in following that goal.
