National Council Seats Up for Grabs Wednesday and Thursday
Ljubljana, 25 November - Overshadowed by presidential and local elections, elections to the upper chamber of the Slovenian parliament, the National Council, will be taking place this week. While lawmakers are elected directly for a four-year term, balloting for councillors is indirect, conducted by electors, who will appoint the new 40-member line-up of the National Council on 27 and 28 November.
